Yelverton Golf Club - Yelverton

Situated just ten miles north of Plymouth, on Roborough Down within the Dartmoor National Park; the course has extensive views across the moors and across the Tamar Valley to Cornwall. Considered by many to be one of the South West's best courses, it is a delightful 18 hole course with great character, that is testing yet fair to all standards of golfer. The course is built on the site of the old Yeoland Consuls mine workings, and is renowned for a variety of interesting ravines caused by the past mining activities; these natural features have been used to enhance the degree of difficulty of several of the holes. The club has good practice facilities, with a putting and chipping green in front of the club-house, an indoor practice net, and a 'state of the art' indoor Teaching Academy at the rear of the building.
