Really welcomed and taken care of. Lovely big double room, bathroom was a little dissappointing small bathroom like a pod in the room. Breakfast amazing for such a small fee of £5 Owner was lovely and a good laugh, made us feel nice. Facilities good, easy walking distance to pubs and centre of town.

Poor Sound Insulation
The sound insulation was shockingly poor such that we could hear the guests above our room walking at 5amin the morning.

Is This A Joke?
I booked a family room to stay with you on Saturday 3rd December only to be told on arrival that you had no record of our booking!! Our plans of going round the Christmas market then doing some Christmas shopping at Cheshire oaks the following morning being total ruined leaving a very disappointed 10 year old. The chap on the desk was very dismissive and his sole concern was trying to blame everyone else for this mix up including me, asking if id booked the right hotel and arrived on the right day even though I had email confirmation which I showed him on my phone !!!! So being asked to leave a review of a hotel that I got no further than the front desk is somewhat taking the mickey. It is safe to say I would never book this hotel again and judging by some other reviews I have read it appears we might of had a lucky escape #grubby would of given zero stars but the site wouldn't let me

Warm, Welcoming Stay At Lloyds
The rooms are a good size and perfectly clean. The en suite is like a little pod in the corner of the room and adequate. The staff are kind and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Value for money unbeatable. Brilliant cooked breakfast. Great convenient position. Will certainly return.

Good Hotel
Everything about our stay was fine. The room was spacious and clean and good value for money. The breakfast was nice and the staff were friendly.

The only negative comments I have are the mattress was incredibly uncomfortable and, although this is no fault of the hotel, our neighbors were constantly knocking on the adjacent door from 2 while half past 3 in the morning. Doors were constantly slamming and it got very annoying. I didn't feel safe enough to confront them myself, and there was no way to get any member of staff to solve this.

Overall this was good value for money.

Great Base To Explore
Not the first time staying here, its just what we want a place to sleep. For us the most imporat part of any hotel is cleanleness and Llyods scores full marks in that. Its a great base to go off on day trip from.

Stay At Lloyd\'s
The gentleman that was woking when we checked in was especially friendly and helpful. When he found out we were looking for certain types of things to see and do, he recommended a trip to Conwy Castle and printed off information to help us find it and learn more about it. This was above and beyond regular hospitality. The second man who came in and relieved his shift was equally as nice. We were very happy with our stay at Lloyd's. The neighborhood is not the most attractive but it was very convenient to the train station and close enough to the center of Chester that it was an easy walk there and back. I never felt that it was unsafe. The area was quiet with the exception of morning traffic. The room was not fancy, but it was not bad either. The bed was the most comfortable that I had slept in for 10 days, since coming to the UK. Most of the beds are very firm. This one was firm but not excessively so. I had the best night's sleep of my whole vacation. The bathroom was an obvious adaptation to an old structure. Breakfast was very good and accomodating. Overall I would say the stay was average to good. Positives being proximity to train and town, and the comfortable beds. Negatives being the neighborhood and the "added" bathroom. All in all it was good value for the quality and I would recommend to anyone who just wants a clean place to stay that is convenient. No frills or fancy stuff.

Stayed for two nights twixt Xmas & New Year, staff were very friendly, hotel in easy walking distance from Chester & local pubs Parking is limited and not easily accessible. The bathrooms were 'different' & small however the room was a good size and clean. Quiet hotel. Breakfast was good and offered a variety on the whole it was good value for the money we paid.

Really Good Value.
Reasonably priced.

Handy for Town Centre

Excellent Staff keen to make your stay enjoyable.

Room spacious, warm and cosy.

Breakfast good, with plenty to choose from.

Car park small but adequate.

Only criticism is bedding would look better if it all matched as it was a mish mash of colours, and didn't quite fit properly.

Was fine for our two night stay.

Fantastic Value
We stayed on the 15th June 2013 and we had a really good time. The room's were clean and the owner was sat at the desk when we came in. He was really friendly and approachable. We didn't sample the breakfast because we got up too late but I am sure that was very good too. The only thing was the bathroom was in a cupboard so was a little claustrophobic for me but that was very clean too. Thanks for the stay.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, we did pay for a quadruple room even though there was 3 of us but allocated a 3 on arrival. This was ok as the bed for my son was good. sometimes he is given a roll out or rubbish bed. The staff seemed very relaxed and laid back, I'm not sure what nationalitiy they are but they are friendly and polite, not totally efficient but ok for what price we paid. We had to walk out-side to get into the dining area as they hadn't unlocked the connecting door and forgot to bring tea and coffee etc. It all got resolved and was fine. The rooms are quite basic but adequate. Good location.

Its Okay!
Perfect location if coming by train, not far into town too. Accomodation is basic, could do with a lick of paint. En suites are very basic and dont have alot of space for moving around. Breakfast was fine, slightly undercooked but nothing that asking for cant fix. Not bad for a sleep and a scoff...

Worth Trying This Hotel
After seeing the terrible reviews about this hotel was dreading our stay here however we where pleasantly surprised.

Rooms where very clean, staff welcoming and helpful. Location of hotel was not far from town centre however we had to park in the nearby train station as there is limited parking which was disappointing.

Would consider hotel in the future if visiting the area.

Good Service, Convenient Location
We stayed one night at Lloyds prior to the Chester Marathon - for which most of the clientele seemed to be there!

Our room was basic but clean and comfortable, although the ensuite bathroom required a bit of contortionism to use the shower.

Service was warm and friendly. We didn't have a full breakfast due to having an early start, but it looked to be of high quality.

A Little Tired
Good Points:

Location is ideal for both the rail station and for walking into town, although in an area which is a little run down.

Nice breakfast always hot.

Nice staff very friendly.

Bad Points

Rooms are a little tired, bedding does not fit the beds and causes you to end up sleeping on the mattress, only a 4ft double bed.

The shower and toilet are of the "pod" design, whilst ok it was very small, especially the toilet part (not much room to perform the normal toilet duties)the shower although hot was also very small.

In general this hotel is not bad, but could do with some investment to all areas.

I've stayed in worse, but in this day and age you get what you pay for, and unless you pay £125 a night or more you wont get much.

I would not stay here again and am unlikely to recommend it to my friends.
