Hotel a gestione familiare molto accogliente. Persone molto cortesi. Eccellente.

Lovely Room
My wife and I had a great stay at Fairwinds Hotel in the Strathspey Room, which was lovely with excellent breakfast. The bathroom was lovely with walk in shower and very modern with underfloor heating. The only comment I would make would be to add a bidet, as room was available, and why is there two wash basins? My wife and I don't wash together so one basin would create space to put toiletry bags close to the basin. These are small points though. Overall an excellent stay.

Fairwinds: A Delightful Holiday Destination
An extremely relaxing and enjoyable stay. A A warm welcome upon arrival, excellent breakfast, comfortable, well appointed bedroom, everything spotlessly clean and immaculately maintained. The surrounding grounds are a peaceful haven, and beautifully landscaped. The location, in the middle of Carrbridge but set back from the road, is ideal. This is a lovely place, well appointed, and situated near the center of town, but interestingly, off the main road just enough, and in a setting that gives it a great country feel. The hosts are very nice, very helpful with information, and very service oriented. If you are a golfer, you will get at the least some great local advice on Scotland courses. The hotel is clean, welcoming and well appointed. Exactly as it should be. The parking is good, the room and en suite shower room were clean and contained everything needed and included some additional unexpected nice touches. Breakfast in the conservatory was good and plentiful.

Thank you for your review.

The sink in the bedroom is a throwback to the days when the hotel was the manse to the church and en-suite bathrooms were unheard of and some guests quite like it even if somewhat quaint!

Having said that, we are looking at ways in which we can incorporate the sink into the bathroom in Cairngorm and Osprey rooms - Osprey certainly in the coming closed season and possibly Cairngorm as well although this is the more difficult of the two rooms to do.

An Overnight Stay In Carrbridge
An exceptional B&B. Family owned and run to a very high standard and the breakfast was superb. We only stayed for one night travelling North but Fairwinds will see us again.

Peaceful, Quiet & Nice Stay
Not busy as Aviemore, not far from Cairngorms national park - just some 10 minutes driving to Aviemore. Nice hosts and nice breakfast. Clean and cozy room with nice view from the window - trees,a pond, a duck and rabbits.

Would come again when we come to this Scottish Highland.

Great Few Days
We really enjoyed our stay at Fairwinds. The new owners - Peter and Janette - couldn't have done more to make us welcome. We did miss the delicious dinners that we had while Lindsay and Alison were there, but can well understand the new owners reasons for not continuing with them. We hope to be back.

So Far, So Good.
A beautiful place in a lovely setting (wooded walk right outside the door). Hosts very nice but perhaps trying too hard to make conversation. Breakfast was great, room very clean and comfortable. Bathroom recently refurbished, but room decor a little dated. Proprietors only been there a couple of months, so can be forgiven. I'm sure it will get better and better.

Feel At Home
A friendly greeting, a wee sherry, a home made chocolate slice in the room - everything about the Fairwinds hotel is designed to make you feel at home. The hosts are lovely, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the evening meal was scrummy. All up - a very welcome antidote to the bland and impersonal.

Boat of Garten Golf Club - Boat of Garten - Golf

Distance 3.28 miles (5.25 km)
Established in 1898 and designed by one of the grand-masters of golf course architecture - James Braid, "The Boat" is not only a demanding test of sporting skill but also a magnificent setting for the game. This Highland grandeur, depending on the day, can inspire high achievement or, in the more common event of disappointing performance, affords the comfort and consolation of communing with nature in uniquely attractive surroundings. Popular with visitors, from both home and abroad, the course has become firmly established as a "must" for those enjoying a golfing tour of the Scottish Highlands.

Abernethy Golf Club - Nethy Bridge - Golf

Abernethy Golf Club - Nethy Bridge - Golf

Distance 6.19 miles (9.9 km)
Established in 1893, Abernethy Golf Club is located on the B970 road between Grantown on Spey and Coylumbridge, just north of Nethybridge. On most days, it is possible to "walk on", without a reserved tee time. Families are welcome and handicap certificates are not required. For those without clubs we have a few sets for hire. Abernethy is a traditional Highland golf course, built on natural moorland, and surrounded by majestic pine trees. The course is suitable for golfers of all standards. Casual visitors will cope pefectly well with the friendly course layout while low handicappers will need to bring their very best short game to score well.
